SOUTH SHORE'S MOST POPULAR SHINDIG OF THE YEAR!

It's the best Irish party of the year! The Tahoe Douglas Rotary Club will host the 40th Annual St. Patrick's Day Wine Tasting and Corned Beef Feed on Saturday, March 15, 2008 starting at 6:00 p.m. It is the best Irish party of the year and a true Lake Tahoe tradition! This lively fund-raiser will be held at Harrah's Convention Center and everyone is invited to come and join in the fun! Enjoy a complete Irish buffet dinner featuring corned sirloin of beef and cabbage with all of the trimmings. Sample generous pours of premium California wine from 12 different wineries. Music and dancing by JJ Entertainment DJ. It's a full evening of St. Patrick's Day celebration!

Bid on 100 Different Vacation Getaways

The event features an incredible silent auction with over 100 lodging accommodations packages to cities across the United States and Mexico. Some of the fabulous destinations featured are Hawaii, San Francisco, Napa Valley, San Diego, La Jolla, Santa Monica, Las Vegas, Denver and Orlando. Our local community is so generous with great gifts like ski passes, room night packages, spa treatments, golf passes, autographed sports memorabilia and game tickets, artwork and dining certificates at many of our excellent local restaurants.

The St. Patrick's Day Wine Tasting is our major fund-raiser to provide for college scholarships and donations to local non-profit organizations. Last year, the proceeds from the Wine Tasting allowed our club to donate $9,000 in academic scholarships to 9 local high school seniors and another $23,500 to local community programs that benefit all of us here at Lake Tahoe.

Your Contribution Goes Back Into the Community

The ticket donation is $60 each and reserved tables of 10 are available for $600. Seating is guaranteed but you should get your tickets early because this great party is always a sell out! Tickets can be purchased from any club member or at the following locations: Lakeside Inn & Casino cashier cage, Colonial Bank on Kingsbury Grade, Selective Accommodations, the Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority, the Lake Tahoe South Shore Chamber of Commerce and Hot Springs Spas on Highway 50 at Elks Point Road. The Wines

Wines graciously donated by distributors, Silver State Wine & Liquor, Southern Wine & Spirits, Luce & Son, Inc. And straight from the winery wines donated by Tahoe Ridge Winery. All wines are available at Dart Liquors and other area merchants.
